Money transfers between banks can be done using a variety of channels. One of the widely used channels in this is NEFT. Direct deposits of funds made using NEFT are made into the beneficiary’s account. All of India’s well-known banks, including the State Bank of India, offer the NEFT function.

You can send as little as ₹1 with SBI NEFT, and there is no cap on the total amount you can send. NEFT allows for both online and offline money transfers.

How to Fill SBI NEFT Form? | How to Fill NEFT Form SBI

We have provided you with a picture of the SBI NEFT form below. It shows that the NEFT form is divided into two halves. We will fill the left portion of this form first.

The left part of the form is called the Receiving Copy. Bank employees return it to the individual making the NEFT. Now we will see the step-by-step process of filling this part.

  • In the left section, the first option we see is Branch. Here the account holder has to write the name of his branch.
  • Date:  Enter the date of the day on which you want to make NEFT here.
  • Received: You have to write the amount you want to send.
  • From: Here you have to write the name of the person sending the money.
  • Cheque No.:  Here we have to enter Cheque No, which we have used in NEFT.
  • The name of the beneficiary has to be written in the “favouring” option.
  • Write the beneficiary’s account number in A/c No.
  • IFSC Code: Enter the IFSC code of the beneficiary’s bank.
  • Beneficiary Bank & Branch:  Here the beneficiary has to write the name of the bank and branch.
  • Amount:  Write the amount you want to transfer here.
  • Bank’s Charges:  Write the amount charged by the bank for NEFT.
  • Total: Here you have to write the total amount you want to send and the amount charged by the bank! After this, this total amount has to be written in words.

The right part of the form is called Bank Copy which is kept by the bank employee for record. Now we will see the step-by-step process of filling this right part.

  • At the top of the form, you will see two boxes. One is NEFT and the other is RTGS. If you want to do NEFT, then tick the NEFT box.
  • After this,  both things have to be filled in the Date and Branch Code options.
  • Branch: Enter your bank branch name here.
  • Please remit the sum of Rs.: The amount you want to send to the beneficiary has to be written in words. And immediately after this Rs. has to be written in numbers.
  • By debiting my/ our account No.: Enter the account number from which money will be debited.
  • (only NEFT), Cash (Only NEFT), Cheque (NEFT/RTGS) using cheque No.: In this option, tick the medium through which you want to send money. Like we are sending money through cheque. After this we have to enter the cheque no. and date.
  • Name of the Beneficiary: Write the name of the beneficiary.
  • Beneficiary Bank & Branch:  Here the name of the beneficiary’s bank and branch name has to be written.
  • IFSC Code: Enter the IFSC code of the beneficiary’s bank here.
  • Beneficiary Account No.:  Enter the beneficiary’s bank account number here.
  • Amount (in Words): Write the amount of money the sender is sending in words.
  • Amount (in figures): In this option, the amount has to be written in figures. Next to this, the option of  Charges will come, there we have to write the amount the bank is charging us for NEFT. After this,  the total amount has to be written.
  • Name of Applicant:  Write the name of the person who is sending money from his account.
  • Address: The address of the person who is sending the money has to be written here.
  • Mobile No.:  You have to enter your mobile number here.
  • Signature of Applicant(s):  The person who is sending the money has to sign here.

What is NEFT?

NEFT means National Electronic Funds Transfer. Through NEFT, you can transfer funds both online and offline.

In NEFT, the transfer of funds is done as per the guidelines of the Reserve Bank of India. In which the money is transferred to the beneficiary’s account every half or an hour. This process is repeated till the complete transfer of funds to the beneficiary’s account.

Information Required for Filling SBI NEFT Form

While filling SBI NEFT form we need to know the below information!

  • The amount you want to NEFT
  • The bank account number of the person sending the money
  • Mobile number
  • Beneficiary Name
  • Beneficiary Bank Name
  • Name of beneficiary’s bank branch
  • Beneficiary’s bank account number
  • IFSC code of beneficiary’s bank

Precautions to Follow While Filling the NEFT Form

  • Avoid making any mistakes or cutting while filling out the form.
  • Always fill in the information given in the form correctly.
  • Please use a blue or black pen while filling out the form.
  • Please read the form carefully, if there is any mistake in the form then our form may get rejected.
  • Enter the account number carefully so that the money gets deposited in the correct account.
  • While filling out the form, make sure that we have filled all the beneficiary details correctly.
  • After filling out the NEFT form, give it only to the employees of SBI Bank. If you give this form to someone else after filling it, you may incur financial loss.

SBI NEFT Process

Step 1:  First, you have to go to the SBI bank branch and get the NEFT form from the bank employee.

Step 2:  After getting the form from the bank, fill in your personal details carefully and correctly!

Step 3:  After this, you have to fill in the details of the account to which you want to send the money!

Step 4:  Write the amount you want to NEFT in the form!

Step 5:  After filling all the details in the form, check it carefully and then submit it to the bank employees!

Step 6:  After submitting the form to the bank employees, make sure to take your Acknowledgment Slip. Because this is the only proof we have of the amount of NEFT we are doing.

Step 7:  After submitting the form to the bank the amount is transferred to the beneficiary’s account at every half or 1 hour interval.
